SA Champs

Not going to lie was a little dissapointed in my results at SA Champs i got knocked out in Semi's after having the best couple heats in awhile. I have definitely learnt a lesson from this event though,

*1. I am still capable of busting out some big scores, stoked to have banged out a 9 and a 7 in my first round heat

*2. I am very silly to let little things like a wetsuit throw me off course. Preparation is vital when it comes to competitive surfing and i just let something as small as not having the correct equipment get to my head . Sounds like an excuse but it's not, i still totally surfed like a chop in my semi and the waves didn't come my way, i didnt give up until the end though even when nerves turned my legs to Jelly.

BUT just booked my flight to Jbay ( thanks Vangie ) and frothing to get some more water time in at Supers. All i want to do in this next event is to have fun and enjoy my surfing. Nothing to lose :)

So this is kind of a sad day, i have finally come to terms with the fact that my .com site is just not working anymore, silly link takes people to a gambling site which is not ideal. SO here i am after being apart for 2 years reunited with blogger with a slightly new look.

i absolutely adore surfing while the sun is setting

yesterday evening i bailed on cooking dinner and instead went surfing with pretty little miss tanika

long beach was TINY . totally tiny. but perfect for a little grovel on my 5'5 hutch piggy .

my new friend accompanied me. and almost strangled me. while i was trying to surf.

after a while i gave up on trying to take photo's.

and just surfed until dark

HELLO NEW YEAR

i think somebody should invent a silencer for the vaccum machine...

like seriously this year has gone far to fast. i cant believe a year ago right now i was on my way to the cederberg for the Hoffman family Holiday. feeling all depressed and sad for myself. looking back i realise what an absolute dork i was getting upset over a boy. so not worth the effort.

BUT NEW YEARS .. drooooooove all the way to town.
Cam and i had dinner with my parents at simply asia.. slightly random . I LOVE ASIAN CUISINE.

one day i will go to Asia.

one day i will stop eating and talking about food ALL THE TIME.

5 4 3 2 1 HAPPY NEW YEARS. that went down at Cape to Cuba . bonfire.beach bar. monster bottle.pretty bad music and patron. 3am phone calls to dad. my dad is the best.

i have been slightly slack wiith my camera lately . sad but true story
on the 1st of january 2011 i had a very fun surf at long beach
evening surfs are my favourite thing in the world

what a lovely start to the year had a picnic on longbeach with some special people

Christmas eve was a small affair this year (couples retreat pretty much) ate far to much good good deliciously wonderful food with beautiful company. i like my boyfriend .
i need to run run run up a hill or something like that or just stop eating white lindt lindor chocolate balls for breakfast ,lunch and before bed... hey its the silly season i feel that it is acceptable to indulge. detox after new years. i promise you this!!!

parting words before i leave to pick up my christmas present which is an indestructable snapshot water proof camera.. might have to install a tracking devise aswell...
